Download 起名大全 – Name setting, baby naming, fortune-based name suggestions
Overview
起名大全 – Name setting is a mobile application designed to assist users with name selection based on traditional Chinese naming principles. Developed by 丹玲 罗, the app is categorized under Education & Reference, specifically within the Books subcategory. Its primary purpose is to guide parents in choosing meaningful names for newborns and individuals seeking name changes, grounded in concepts such as birth horoscopes and the five elements of Chinese metaphysics.
The app aims to solve the common challenge of selecting a name that carries positive energy and aligns with a person’s destiny. It is particularly useful for users interested in culturally rooted naming practices, especially within Chinese-speaking communities. Real-world applications include helping new parents find a name that harmonizes with their child’s astrological chart, as well as supporting adults who believe in the transformative power of a name change.
The app positions itself as a professional tool for those who view names not just as identifiers, but as influential elements shaping life outcomes. In the broader app ecosystem, it fills a niche for spiritually and culturally informed naming services, offering a digital alternative to traditional consultation methods. Although the developer did not provide additional technical details, the app’s focus on personalized, destiny-based naming reflects a growing interest in holistic digital tools for life decisions.
Key Features & Functionality
- Birth Horoscope-Based Name Generation – The app uses the baby’s birth horoscope to generate name suggestions that align with their astrological profile, helping parents select names believed to support favorable life outcomes.
- Five Elements (Wu Xing) Analysis – It incorporates the theory of the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—to assess elemental balance and recommend names that correct perceived imbalances.
- Fortune-Informed Naming Advice – The app provides guidance on suitable names based on current fortune trends, including recommendations for babies born in 2019 and those with a water-deficient elemental profile.
- Adult Name Change Support – Users can explore name changes for personal or professional reasons, with the app offering insights into how a new name may influence luck and life trajectory.
- Octagonal Word Selection – It suggests names using the five-line water-deficient octagonal word framework, a specialized naming technique rooted in traditional Chinese numerology.
These features are intended to serve real users seeking culturally significant names. For example, a parent might use the app to find a name that strengthens their child’s weak element, such as adding a “water”-related character to balance a “fire”-dominant horoscope. Similarly, an adult considering a name change could use the app to explore names that align with their current life phase and perceived destiny. The app does not rely on generic name lists but instead offers a structured, theory-based approach. While specific implementation details are not disclosed, the app’s functionality appears tailored to users who value tradition, symbolism, and metaphysical beliefs in personal identity.
Interface, UX & Performance

Navigation is straightforward, with logical flow between steps, such as entering birth details and receiving name suggestions.
